Section 75-03-11.1-08.3 - Minimum qualifications of school-age child care program supervisor1. A supervisor shall hold at least one of the following qualifications:a. An associate degree in the field of early childhood development or elementary education, or a secondary degree with an emphasis on middle school or junior high training;b. Current certification as a child development associate;c. Certification from a Montessori teacher training program; ord. A high school diploma or high school equivalency with at least one year of experience in a child care program or similar setting.2. The supervisor shall demonstrate the ability to work with children and the willingness to increase skills and competence through experience, training, and supervision.3. The supervisor shall be an adult of good physical, emotional, social, and cognitive health, and shall use mature judgment when making decisions impacting the quality of child care. A supervisor must possess knowledge and experience in building and maintaining interpersonal relationships.4. The supervisor shall certify annual completion of a minimum of thirteen hours of department-approved training related to child care annually, including one hour on mandated reporter of suspected child abuse or neglect. The same training courses may be counted toward licensing annual requirements only if three years has passed since the last completion date of that training course, with the exception of mandated reporter annual training.N.D.
