Section 45-05-05-08 - Insurance purchase Any purchasing group duly authorized to do business in the state of North Dakota may purchase insurance only from the following sources:
1. A risk retention group authorized to do business in this state. 2. An admitted insurance carrier. 3. An authorized surplus lines carrier listed on the commissioner's white list, only if the purchase is effected through a licensed surplus lines producer who has been appointed by the purchasing group.
