Section 33.1-14-05-12 - Operation1. The operation of safety valves and safety relief valves must meet the requirements of the edition of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code, section 1, referenced in this article or by the requirements of the edition of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code, section 1, to which the boiler they are installed was constructed.2. If the operating conditions of a valve are changed so as to require a new spring for a different pressure, the valve must be adjusted by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's authorized representative, or by a holder of a valid national board "VR" certificate who shall furnish and install a new nameplate.N.D.
