Section 01D .0912 - REDEPLOYMENT(a) A redeployment is the movement of an employee, without a break in service, from one position to another position within the same agency or the movement of an employee, or an employee and a position, from one agency to another when the move is due to an enterprise-wide project that results in the need to utilize an employee's competencies for greater effectiveness in another area of an agency or in another agency. The following shall apply: (1) The employee's salary rate shall not be reduced. When necessary, management may maintain the employee's current class by working the employee against the position; and(2) The redeployment of an employee is not a grievable issue under G.S.126-34.(b) The receiving agency does not have to post a vacant position to accommodate a redeployment arrangement.25 N.C.
