Section 14T .0608 - ESTHETIC TEACHER TRAINEE CURRICULUM
(a) To meet the approval of the Board under the standards set out in these Rules, an esthetician teacher training course shall consist of at least 650 hours of instruction in theory and practical application, divided as follows:

Guided and independent Theory: observation, motivation, student relations, teaching techniques, preparing lesson plans, preparing class lectures and presentations, preparing examinations, grading, and G.S. 88B and the rules of the Board

Practical Application: Conducting guided theory classes from prepared lessons, preparing and giving examinations, and giving demonstrations

(b) Trainees shall receive a minimum of 120 hours of guided theory prior to providing any instruction in a cosmetic art classroom.
