Section 08B .0112 - APPLICATION PROCESS: STEP ELEVEN: BASIC TRAINING SCHOOL
(a) Following the acceptance of an applicant by the chief he shall send each approved applicant all necessary information concerning the Basic Training School. The chief shall arrange for the completion of all employment and benefit forms.
(b) Each applicant shall report to the site of the Basic Training School at the time and on the date the school begins. Failure to report to the Basic Training School site at the time designated shall disqualify the applicant for employment and he/she shall not be eligible to reapply for employment for 12 months.
(c) BPS trainees, while attending the basic school, shall be subject to all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct as are prescribed for such attendance.
(d) BPS trainees are expected to successfully complete all physical and scholastic courses and requirements. The failure to successfully complete one major course or the failure to successfully complete more than one minor course shall result in dismissal from the school and termination of employment with BPS. A final grade of 70 percent or more for a course is considered as successful completion unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
