Section 4560.10 - Pest control(a) Control. Each racetrack operator shall conduct a program of abatement to control the presence of rodents, flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes, bats and other vermin in and around backstretch worker housing and animal feed storage areas. The methods of control shall include, without limitation: (1) the daily removal of all materials that contribute to the breeding and harboring of vermin, such as horse excrement, garbage, refuse or any other putrid or offensive animal or vegetable matter; and(2) a program of spraying or baiting for insects or rodents.(b) Pest management protocol. Each racetrack operator shall file with the commission on an annual basis an integrated pest management protocol that incorporates pest management industry-standard best practices.(c) Third-party providers. Should a racetrack operator undertake pest control by a third party, only certified commercial pesticide applicators or commercial pesticide technicians shall be used.N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs.
