Section 470.3 - Time limits

(a) An active member applying for a firearms permit pursuant to Penal Law section 400.01 may submit an application up to 60 days in advance of separation from service on a form approved and supplied by the superintendent.

(b) A retired member must file the approved application form no later than 30 days after separation from service.
