Section 2409.1 - Duration of eligibility(a) A recipient's eligibility to receive an award made under this Subchapter shall extend for a maximum of four regular academic years of undergraduate study, or five regular academic years if the program of attendance is approved as such by, or on behalf of, the corporation.(b) A student shall be eligible for a fifth year of benefits even if the student has not yet completed four full years of credit because of failure, reduced programs, transfer, or other reasons, so long as the student is currently enrolled in a five-year program. However, the student who requires more than four years to complete a program normally completed in four years shall not be considered as enrolled in a five-year program, except as specifically provided above.N.Y.
