The purpose of this Subpart is to set forth standards for approval and the approval process for providers of coursework or training in the needs of students with autism that is offered to candidates for a teachers' certificate or license in any of the following classroom teaching titles: students with disabilities in early childhood, childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, or all grades; speech and language disabilities; deaf and hard of hearing; and blind and visually impaired and for school administrators, to the extent required by section 3004 of the Education Law.
