Section 623.1 - Regulations

The provisions of this Part shall apply to all persons entering upon or using the department's environmental education centers commonly known as Five Rivers environmental conservation center, Rogers environmental education center and Stony Kill environmental education center.

(a) Center grounds are open sunrise to sunset. Visitors are not permitted on the grounds after dark, except by written permission or for attendance at scheduled programs.
(b) Plants and animals shall not be removed or introduced without permission.
(c) Vehicles are to be parked in designated areas only.
(d) Vehicles are permitted on restricted roadways or fields only by written permission.
(e) Only pedestrian traffic is permitted on trails, fields and restricted roadways.
(f) Pets are not allowed on center grounds except by written permission.
(g) Picnicking is permitted in designated areas only. Fires are prohibited, except in specially marked areas when conditions permit.
(h) No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the center grounds.
(i) Littering is not permitted.
(j) Athletic games are permitted in designated areas only.
(k) Ice skating, swimming and boating are prohibited, except as an integral part of a center program.
(l) Hunting and trapping are prohibited, except in designated areas and by written permission only. Fishing is permitted in designated areas only.
(m) Firearms are prohibited on the grounds, except by written permission.
(n) Visitors are not permitted in restricted areas, except by written permission or when accompanied by department personnel.
(o) Visitors shall comply with the instruction of center personnel and with notices posted by the department.
