Section 452.1 - Scope of the rules in this part

The rules in this Part specify conditions and procedures for measurement of the sound level generated by a motor vehicle engaged in a highway operation, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the motor vehicle conforms to the sound level limits set forth in section 386(3)(a) of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
