Section 54.2 - Permits

Entry on those portions of the Areas posted Wetlands - Restricted Area or State Wildlife Refuge - Posted is prohibited unless a permit is issued by the Department of Environmental Conservation (department). The department, at its discretion, may waive the permit requirement on all or portions of an Area by written or posted notice.

(a) A permit is valid only for the purpose, period of time and portion of an Area for which it is issued.
(b) A permit is not transferable.
(c) The permittee must carry the permit on his or her person at all times while on the Area.
(d) Permit applicants will be provided a written copy of all rules and regulations for an Area upon request or at the time of permit issuance.
(e) Permittees may be required to submit a report of their activities on forms provided by the department. Failure to submit a report requested by the department will result in the denial of permit privileges for a period of one year.
