Section 5903.2 - Definitions

For the purpose of this Part:

(a) The term foundation means the New York State Science and Technology Foundation, with headquarters at 99 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY12210.
(b) The term executive director shall mean the executive director of the New York State Science and Technology Foundation.
(c) The term board shall mean the board of directors of the New York State Science and Technology Foundation.
(d) The term Research and Development Grants Program shall mean the foundation program of competitive awards to support research and development projects having distinct potential for industrial application or that contribute otherwise to the State's economic development.
(e) The term applicant shall mean any educational institution, nonprofit institution or organization, business enterprise or other person concerned with scientific and technological research, development and/or education in the State submitting a proposal to receive assistance under the Research and Development Grants Program.
(f) The term research and review committee shall mean the committee designated by the New York State Science and Technology Foundation to review and evaluate proposals made for assistance under the Research and Development Grants Program.
