Section 56.14 - Conduct of pilots-fine and/or suspension or revocation of license; drunkenness; incurring debts; disorderly conduct

Any pilot who, while on or off duty, shall conduct himself in such a manner as to bring discredit to the pilotage service, shall for such misbehavior be subject to a fine not exceeding $250 and/or suspension or revocation of his license, as in the judgment of the commissioners the necessities of the case may require. Drunkenness on duty, other than as set forth in subdivision 1 of section 94 of the Navigation Law; drunkenness in any public place; incurring of debts beyond the ability of a pilot to pay, resulting in judgments and/or attachments against the property of the pilot; and/or disorderly conduct of any kind; shall constitute misbehavior within the meaning of this section.
