Section 419.3 - Departmental review

The department will review proposals and notify districts of their eligibility for grant awards not later than 45 days after the date specified by the commissioner for submission of proposals pursuant to section 419.2 of this Part. Proposals will be judged by criteria which shall include:

(a) the project's adherence to the guidelines and the priorities stated in the request for proposal distributed by the department;

(b) the feasibility of the project's approach and work plan to accomplish its objectives;

(c) the extent to which the funding will be used to expand existing services; and

(d) the likelihood that the project has potential for continuing beyond the project funding period.
