Social services districts shall provide pertinent information to applicants for and recipients of financial assistance, medical assistance and social services, and other individuals and groups in the community expressing interest in the availability of services. This shall include, but not be limited to, the distribution of pamphlets prepared by the department for this purpose about the services available, the eligibility and other requirements governing receipt of such services, the right to present views and complaints on services, and right to request a fair hearing.
The social services district shall, in accordance with Part 392 of this Title, provide, either directly or through purchase, information about and referral to community social services resources to any individual or family who requests such information, without regard to income.
