Section 596.8 - Contracts for the Provision of Telehealth Services(a) Nothing in this Part shall be deemed to prohibit a provider of services from providing licensed, designated, and authorized services, consistent with applicable regulations of the Office, as a distant/hub site via telehealth pursuant to contract with an originating/spoke site provider that is not licensed or operated by the Office, but which is enrolled in the New York State Medicaid program.(b) Although prior approval of the Office is not required before entering into such contracts, notice of such contracts or agreements shall be provided by the distant/hub provider of services within 30 days after execution of such contract to the Field Office serving the area where such provider of services is located.(c) Reimbursement for telehealth services shall be pursuant to such contracts and are not separately billable by the distant/hub site.(d) Providers of service shall not engage in distant/hub telehealth services that violate the provisions of paragraph (11) of subdivision (a) of section 596.6 of this Part.N.Y.
