Ad hoc committees may be established by the chair, subject to approval of the board, for defined tasks of a limited duration (for instance, not to exceed six months). An ad hoc committee shall only perform those duties assigned by the chair, and upon their completion be discharged. The chair, in consultation with the board, shall appoint the members of the committee and the chair of the committee.
