Section 16.66.7.17 - HEATINGA. The licensee shall open readily openable access panels provided by the manufacturer or installer for routine homeowner maintenance.B. The licensee shall inspect: (1) Permanently installed heating equipment and distribution systems, using normal operating controls; and(2) Vent systems, flues, and chimneys.C. In the home inspection report, the licensee shall describe at least the following: D. The licensee is not required to inspect: (1) Interior of vent systems, flues, and chimneys that are not readily accessible;(3) Humidifiers and dehumidifiers;(4) Electric air cleaning and sanitizing devices;(5) Portable heating equipment;(6) Heating systems using ground-source, water-source, solar, and renewable energy technologies;(7) Heat-recovery and similar whole-house mechanical ventilation systems;(8) Fuel tanks or underground or concealed fuel supply systems.E. The licensee is not required to:(1) Light or ignite pilot flames and burners;(2) Operate automatic safety controls.F. The licensee is not required to determine:(1) Uniformity, temperature, flow, balance, distribution, size, capacity, British thermal unit ("BTU"), or supply adequacy of the heating system;(2) Adequacy of combustion air components.N.M.
