The purpose of this rule is to provide tables of select mortality factors and guidelines for their use, and to establish minimum standards for the valuation of plans with nonlevel premiums or benefits and plans with secondary guarantees. The method for calcaluating basic reserves defined in this rule will constitute the commissioners' reserve valuation method for policies to which this rule is applicable.
