Section 8:57-1.2 - Incorporated documents
(a) The Department incorporates by reference in this subchapter the Electronic Laboratory Reporting Technical Manual, written and published by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Communicable Disease Service and the Office of Information Technology Services, which provides technical guidance on the electronic transmission of data to the Department.
1. The Electronic Laboratory Reporting Technical Manual is available at subchapter Appendix A and by written request to the Communicable Disease Service, New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, PO Box 369, Trenton, NJ 08625, or online through the Department's web page at http://www.state.nj.us/health/cd/izdphome.htm.
(b) The Department incorporates by reference, as amended and supplemented, in this subchapter the following documents:
1. Performance Standards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing; Seventeenth Informational Supplement (M100-S17), written and published by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, which provides annual updates of the latest recommendations for detecting emerging resistance of aerobic bacteria.
i. The Performance Standards for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing; Seventeenth Informational Supplement (M100-S17) is available for a fee from the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, 940 West Valley Road, Suite 1400, Wayne, PA 19087, or online at http://www.clsi.org; and
2. Analysis and Presentation of Cumulative Antimicrobial Susceptibility Test Data, Approved Guideline - Second Edition (M39-A2), written and published by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, which describes the methods for recording and analysis of antimicrobial susceptibility test data, consisting of cumulative and ongoing summaries of susceptibility patterns of clinically significant microorganisms.
i. Analysis and Presentation of Cumulative Antimicrobial Susceptibility Test Data, Approved Guideline - Second Edition (M39-A2) is available for a fee from the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, 940 West Valley Road, Suite 1400, Wayne, PA 19087, or online at http://www.clsi.org.
