Section 8:43G-28.22 - Megavoltage radiation oncology program utilization(a) For existing facilities or programs, the minimum annual megavoltage radiation oncology treatment volume shall be 150 new patients per facility. For new facilities or programs, by the second year of operation, the minimum annual megavoltage radiation oncology treatment volume shall be 150 new patients per facility averaged over a two year period.(b) For those facilities offering brachytherapy, the minimum annual brachytherapy treatment volume shall be an average of 10 patients per year, over a two year period.(c) Megavoltage radiation oncology facilities providing potentially curative treatment to children under 13 years of age shall participate in protocols of a national multi-institutional pediatric oncology group such as Children's Cancer Group (CCG) or Pediatric Oncology Group (POG).N.J.
