Section 8:34-4.1 - Administrative intern experience requirement
(a) An applicant for licensure shall comply with 8:34-3.1(a)4 for administrative intern experience through participation or employment in one of the following:
1. An administrative intern training program that meets the requirements identified at 8:34-4.2; or
2. An assistant administrator position that meets the requirements identified at 8:34-4.2 with the following conditions:
i. The applicant shall have the equivalent of one year full-time or two years part-time administrative experience as an assistant administrator, totaling 1,750 hours in a nursing home with no fewer than 60 beds, within the two-year period immediately prior to submission of an application; and
ii. The Board approves the job description and the organizational chart for the specific position, in accordance with the requirements of this chapter; and
iii. The administrator submits documentation to the Board verifying the performance record of the assistant administrator for the 1,750-hour experience requirement.
