Section 8:135-2.2 - Composition of special status patient review committee(a) Each State psychiatric hospital shall establish a special status patient review committee (SSPRC).(b) The clinical or medical director of each State psychiatric hospital shall appoint members to the SSPRC and designate the chairperson.(c) The composition of the SSPRC shall consist of, but need not be limited to, the clinical or medical director or the chief of psychiatry, the director of psychology, and the director of social services.1. At least one of these individuals shall be a psychiatrist.2. These members may appoint designees to the SSPRC who are of sufficient experience to appropriately review the matters that the SSPRC is to consider, provided a designee shall not endorse a recommendation that the designee participated in making or made as a member of the special status patient's treatment team.N.J.
