Section 8:133-3.7 - Action by the Social Security Administration(a) The Social Security Administration should: 1. Receive signed form MH-30's;2. Evaluate SSI applications;3. Direct retroactive SSI checks to the appropriate hospital in accordance with the Interim Assistance agreement;4. Notify the Financial Entitlement Unit of approvals and denials of SSI applications;5. Notify clients and/or representative payees of decisions reached;6. Notify clients and/or representative payees that initial SSI retroactive checks shall be forwarded to the hospital; and7. Hear client appeals regarding the amount of SSI payments and other adverse (financial and medical) actions.N.J. Admin. Code § 8:133-3.7
