Section 7:9E-4.1 - Notification by laboratories and the Department(a) If analysis shows an acute parameter, as defined at N.J.A.C. 7:9E-1.2, at a level above the MCL, the certified laboratory responsible for analyzing the water sample shall, within 24 hours of obtaining the test results, notify the person(s) who requested the water test, and the appropriate local health authority in accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:18-4.6 and 5.6.(b) The Department shall, within five business days after receiving notice of any parameter at a level above a MCL, water quality standard, or action level, provide notice of such water test failure to the appropriate local health authority in which the subject property is located.N.J.
