Section 7:3A-2.11 - Insurance; general liability, worker's compensation(a) A business engaged in providing tree care services for hire in New Jersey is required either to carry a minimum of $ 1,000,000 of general liability insurance or submit to the Board a letter of credit in the amount of $ 1,000,000 issued by a bank or lending institution licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey.(b) A business engaged in providing tree care services for hire in New Jersey is required to either secure and maintain worker's compensation insurance coverage for its employees or be approved for self-insurance by the New Jersey Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau, in conformance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:15-1 et seq. Businesses offering tree care services shall have worker's compensation insurance based upon the applicable New Jersey Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau code.N.J. Admin. Code § 7:3A-2.11
