Section 7:27C-6.1 - CO[2] allowance tracking system (COATS) accounts

(a) Consistent with NJ.A.C. 7:27C-6.2(a), the Department will establish one compliance account for each CO[2] Budget source. Allocations of CO[2] allowances pursuant to NJ.A.C. 7:27C-5 and 11 and deductions or transfers of CO[2] allowances pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:27C-4.2, 6.9, or 7 will be recorded in the compliance accounts in accordance with this subchapter.

(b) Consistent with N.J.A.C. 7:27C-6.2(b), the Department will establish, upon request, a general account for any person. Transfers of CO[2] allowances pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:27C-7 will be recorded in the general account in accordance with this subchapter.
