Section 7:14B-11.1 - Local ordinance exemption

(a) This chapter supersedes any law or ordinance regulating underground storage tanks regulated subject to this chapter, enacted by a municipality, county or political subdivision thereof prior to the effective date of this chapter.

(b) No municipality, county, or political subdivision thereof shall enact any law or ordinance regulating underground storage tanks regulated subject to this chapter without express permission from the Department in accordance with 7:14B-11.2 below.
