Section 5:25-3.6 - Structural and mechanical system standards

The structural and mechanical systems standards to be used in determining the adequacy of design, materials and workmanship for the structural components of the home and for the mechanical systems of the home including plumbing, electrical and heating and cooling systems shall be the provisions of the State Uniform Construction Code in effect on the date that the construction permit under which the new home was constructed was issued. The standards of adequacy for plumbing systems shall be as specified in 5:25-3.5(k)2; for Heating and Air Conditioning systems shall be specified in 5:25-3.5(k)4 and for the Electrical system capability shall be as specified in 5:25-3.5(l).
