Section 14:10-12.2 - Purpose and scope

(a) This subchapter governs any TSP operating in New Jersey and intending to depart a service territory or withdraw a telecommunications service from its entire base pursuant to N.J.A.C. 14:105.7, where that TSP does not intend to offer a replacement service.

(b) This subchapter also governs other TSPs that may acquire the end users who will no longer be served by a departing TSP and ILECs that serve a departing TSP's end users.

(c) This subchapter sets forth requirements to ensure the orderly migration and/or transfer of end users from a departing TSP to another TSP and also applies to transition of customers to another TSP due to withdrawal of a telecommunications service from the State pursuant to N.J.A.C. 14:10-5.7.

(d) Board staff may, upon request and with good cause shown, waive provisions of this subchapter.
