Section 13:74-7.3 - Restrictions on placing and accepting account wagers
(a) The account wagering licensee shall only accept wagers from New Jersey residents who have established an account in accordance with the Act and this chapter. Prior to making any account inquiry or requesting any account transaction, an account holder shall provide his or her confidential personal identification number, to be selected in a manner subject to the discretion of the account wagering licensee consistent with its internal control procedures, and such other information as required by the account wagering licensee which may include the account holder's confidential account number. The account wagering licensee shall not provide any account information or consummate any account transaction unless the account holder first provides the correct confidential personal identification number and satisfies any other requirements of the account wagering licensee. The account wagering licensee may not accept a wager, or a series of wagers, in an amount in excess of the funds on deposit and available within the wagering account of the account holder who desires to place the wager.
(b) Unless otherwise approved by the Commission, or authorized by this chapter, no person, corporation or other entity shall directly or indirectly act as an intermediary, transmitter or agent in the placing of wagers for a holder of a wagering account.
(c) All persons or entities accepting wagers on behalf of the account wagering licensee shall do so at a location within this State.
(d) No pari-mutuel wager may be accepted after the totalisator has been locked or wagering has ceased, whichever occurs first. All pari-mutuel machines in connection with account wagering shall be locked at off-time and wagering shall cease no later than off-time.
