A witness may be accompanied, represented and advised by counsel, as defined in 13:47A-13.4. In order to protect the integrity of any investigation, the Bureau Chief may, in the reasonable exercise of his or her discretion, prohibit multiple representations by counsel, and may prohibit representation by counsel who is likely to become a witness during the course of either the investigation itself or of any legal proceedings expected to ensue upon the investigation's conclusion.
