Section 13:39A-5.2 - Licensing requirements for a physical therapist assistant
(a) To be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist assistant in New Jersey an applicant shall:
1. Be at least 18 years of age;
2. Be of good moral character;
3. Have completed at least an Associate in Arts degree from an accredited college or university;
4. Have completed a two-year physical therapist assistant program from an accredited college or university approved for the education and training of physical therapist assistants by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education;
5. Have completed all clinical education requirements necessary for graduation from a physical therapist assistant program approved for the education and training of physical therapist assistants by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education; and
6. Have successfully completed the written examination as set forth in 13:39A-5.3.
