Section 13:39-9.20 - Drug information and education(a) The pharmacist-in-charge shall be responsible for maintaining drug standards, references and sources of drug information current and adequate to meet the needs of the pharmacists, physicians, nurses, other health care personnel, and patients of the facility. Reference texts shall include, but not be limited to, those required by the Board under N.J.A.C. 13:39-5.8.(b) On each patient care unit, the pharmacist shall maintain the following:1. A copy of the current institutional formulary;2. A reference drug compendium which will give basic information concerning drugs approved by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee; and3. The telephone number of either the local or regional poison control center.(c) The pharmacist shall participate in the drug education programs of the facility.N.J. Admin. Code § 13:39-9.20
