Section 13:39-7.1 - Valid prescriptions(a) A pharmacist shall only fill a prescription issued by a practitioner licensed to issue prescriptions in New Jersey and practicing in New Jersey if the prescription is on a New Jersey Uniform Prescription Blank pursuant to N.J.S.A. 45:14-55 and N.J.A.C. 13:45A-27, except as provided in N.J.A.C. 13:39-7.10 and 7.11.(b) A pharmacist shall fill a prescription issued by a practitioner authorized to issue prescriptions in another state, territory or possession of the United States, including prescriptions issued at facilities within or outside of New Jersey that are regulated by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and/or the Department of Defense. Such prescriptions shall be filled pursuant to New Jersey law. Such prescriptions shall not be required to be issued on a New Jersey Uniform Prescription Blank.(c) Prescriptions, other than those listed in (a) and (b) above, shall not be filled by a pharmacy in New Jersey.N.J.
