Section 13:34-30.4 - Conflicts of interest; dual relationships(a) A professional, associate or rehabilitation counselor providing counseling services shall not provide those services in circumstances that would be expected to limit the counselor's objectivity and impair professional judgment or increase the risk of exploitation.(b) A professional, associate or rehabilitation counselor providing counseling services shall not enter into any relationship that would be expected to limit objectivity and impair professional judgment or increase the risk of exploitation. Examples of such relationships include, but are not limited to, professional treatment of business or financial relationships, students, supervisors, friends or relatives, supervision of friends and relatives and receipt of any goods and/or services from a client.(c) A professional, associate or rehabilitation counselor who has identified a conflict of interest shall notify the parties involved and shall take action to eliminate the conflict.N.J.
