Section 13:20-44.6 - Application and license fees

(a) Each initial application for a private inspection facility license shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee of $ 20.00 payable to the Motor Vehicle Commission.

(b) Each initial or renewal application for a private inspection facility license shall be accompanied by a license fee of $ 250.00 payable to the Motor Vehicle Commission. Such license fee shall be returned to the applicant only in the event that the Chief Administrator refuses to grant or renew a private inspection facility license. Such license fee, or any portion thereof, shall not be refunded to the licensee in the event that the private inspection facility license is suspended or revoked pursuant to 39:8-1 et seq. or this subchapter, or if the licensee voluntarily surrenders the license at any time during the license period.
