Section 13:1A-4.6 - Disbursements to Commission staff

(a) The Commission may order a disbursement of monies from the Fund to be made to its staff for the purpose of assisting one or more Commission-approved schools with the expenditure of monies awarded by the Commission. The Commission may order such disbursements when it concludes that the disbursement of monies to its staff:

1. Will facilitate the acquisition of resources or equipment on behalf of one or more approved schools;

2. Will expedite the acquisition of resources or equipment on behalf of one or more approved schools;

3. Will permit resources or equipment to be purchased or acquired at terms more favorable than those that could be obtained if individual approved schools were to purchase or acquire the items; or

4. The purchase or acquisition of resources or equipment will require a degree of coordination that cannot be achieved by one or more school directors acting individually.

(b) In receiving a disbursement of monies from the Fund, Commission staff will be acting on behalf of and for the benefit of the approved schools. All resources or equipment purchased or acquired by Commission staff with a disbursement of monies from the Fund shall be distributed to one or more approved schools.
