Section 13:1A-4.4 - Criteria for award of monies

(a) In deciding to award monies from the Fund, the Commission shall take into consideration the following:

1. The extent to which an application satisfies the requirements of the Act and this chapter;

2. The extent to which an application addresses any deficiencies identified by the Commission in the provision of basic and in-service courses;

3. The extent to which an application responds to training priorities identified by the Commission in the training of law enforcement officers;

4. The extent to which an application will improve the administration and implementation of basic and in-service courses;

5. The extent to which an application will incorporate new technologies and methodologies for providing basic and in-service courses; and

6. The number of basic and in-service courses and/or trainees that may benefit from the project, resources, equipment and other items contained in an application.
