Section 11:23-3.9 - Services provided to self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangements

No third party administrator shall contract with or on behalf of a self-funded multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) which is not duly registered with the Department pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17B:27C-1 et seq. It shall be the responsibility of the third party administrator to verify that a MEWA is so registered. The third party administrator shall be diligent in monitoring the status of the MEWA and shall report any change in status as a material change pursuant to N.J.A.C. 11:23-3.7.
