Section 10A:17-6.7 - Selecting chaplains(a) The Coordinator, Chaplaincy Services shall maintain a file of resumes of applicants for chaplaincy positions pursuant to 10A:17-6.8.(b) When a vacancy in a chaplaincy position occurs at a correctional facility, the Administrator or designee shall notify the Coordinator, Chaplaincy Services.(c) The Director, Office of Community Programs and Outreach Services or designee shall review all applications and arrange interviews for the applicants who meet the qualifications for the correctional facility chaplaincy position.(d) Upon completion of the interviews, the Director, Office of Community Programs and Outreach Services or designee shall recommend two or more candidates to the Administrator. The Administrator may request the names of additional candidates for consideration should such action be deemed necessary.(e) The Director of the Office of Community Programs and Outreach Services, in consultation with the Administrator shall select the applicant to fill the vacancy.N.J.
