Section We 105.01 - Summary of Duties

In accordance with RSA 482-B the board shall:

(a) Protect the ground waters of the state;

(b) Regulate the construction of water wells;

(c) Regulate the installation of well pumps;

(d) License water well contractors;

(e) License well pump installers;

(f) Keep records of wells;

(g) Provide for penalties for violations;

(h) Charge fees for licenses;

(i) Promote cooperation among water well contractors, pump installers and governmental agencies;

(j) Make available to the public information relative to ground water resources of the state; and

(k) Adopt rules as necessary to implement the requirements of RSA 482-B.
