Section Vet 302.02 - Good Professional Character(a) Good professional character shall include but not be limited to: (1) Traits including honesty, trustworthiness, diligence, and reliability that are relevant to and have a rational connection with the applicant's present fitness to practice veterinary medicine;(2) No conviction for any crime which would impair the individual's worthiness and ability to serve as a professional licensed veterinarian pursuant to RSA 332-G:10;(3) No behavioral problem which endangers the welfare or personal safety of clients, patients, or other veterinary personnel; and(4) No practice within the state of New Hampshire within the previous 5 years without an active license.(b) If the applicant has had a criminal conviction, suspended license, or revoked license the board shall consider the following when determining good professional character:(1) Age and maturity at the time the criminal act was committed;(2) The degree of culpability required for conviction of the crime, license suspension, or license revocation and any mitigating factors including motive for commission of the crime or licensing offense;(3) The classification of the criminal act and the seriousness of actual and potential harm to persons or property;(4) Criminal and licensure history and the likelihood that conduct will be repeated;(5) The permissibility of service as a professional licensed veterinarian within the terms of any parole or probation;(6) Proximity or remoteness in time of the criminal conviction, license suspension, or license revocation;(7) Whether the criminal history or suspension or revocation of a license to practice impaired the applicant's ability to practice; and(8) Any evidence offered which would support good professional character.N.H.
