Section Saf-Mec 307.05 - Eligibility Requirements for Initial Business Licensure
(a) A business shall be eligible for initial licensure if the business:
(1) Is a company, a corporation, a limited liability company, or a partnership or a limited liability partnership;
(2) Is engaged in one of the following:
a. Plumbing;
b. Fuel gas fitting;
c. Plumbing and fuel gas fitting;
d. Hearth system installing or servicing; or
e. Domestic appliance installing or servicing;
(3) Employs at least one corporate officer, or responsible managing employee, as applicable, who currently holds a New Hampshire fuel gas fitting license, master plumber license, domestic appliance technician license, or hearth system installer license specific to the discipline for which licensure is sought; and
(4) For companies employing one or more licensed individuals, pays the applicable fee as prescribed in Mec 502.01. If the applicant for a business license is a sole proprietor, not having any employees, the applicant is exempt from paying a licensure fee.
(b) A licensed fuel gas fitting or plumbing business shall:
(1) Give notice to the board if no other officer, partner, manager, or designee, is licensed within 30 days after the death or withdrawal of the licensed person as a:
a. Corporate officer or designee;
b. Member of the partnership;
c. Responsible managing employee;
d. One or more managing members of the limited liability company or designee; or
e. Licensed business entity, corporation, partnership, or limited liability company;
(2) Not act as a fuel gas fitter or plumber, or combination thereof until some other officer, member, or designee, has obtained a licensed fuel gas fitter or master plumber as the responsible managing employee respectively; and
(2) Give notice within 30 days if a gas trainee or plumber apprentice severs employment with the employer or sponsor.
