Section Saf-C 1308.01 - Aisle(a) Each aisle shall have a width of no less than 12 inches, and shall be straight and unobstructed through the entire passenger seating area parallel to the major axis of the school bus. Extra seats or obstructions in aisles, including the aisle leading to the emergency exit door, shall not be permitted.(b) A flip seat in the "up" position shall not obstruct the 12 inch minimum aisle width to any side emergency door.(c) Each seat back shall be sufficiently slanted to give aisle clearance of 15 inches at the top of the seat back.N.H.
