Section Saf-C 102.07 - Assistant CommissionerThe assistant commissioner shall have such powers and duties as are authorized under RSA 21-P:5 and such other duties as may be assigned by the commissioner, including but not limited to:
(a) Executive direction of all divisions of the department in the absence of the commissioner;(b) Authority to control expenditures of all divisions including the division of state police, for budget control;(c) Authority and power to direct and supervise the operation and administration of any division of the department, except the division of state police;(d) Liaison between the commissioner and the directors of the various divisions;(e) Pre-screening of all federal grant requests by all divisions and units;(f) Department liaison with the state legislature;(g) Coordination of administrative rulemaking;(h) Liaison with employee bargaining agents and the office of the state negotiator for collective bargaining matters; and(i) Responsibility for the operations of the bureau of hearings and the division of fire safety.N.H.
