Section Plc 1406.09 - Publication of an Article in a Professional Journal(a) A licensee may claim credit towards the continuing competence requirement for publication of an article in a professional journal.(b) The licensee may claim no more than 10 contact hours per renewal cycle in accordance with the following: (1) For a peer-reviewed article: a. If the licensee was the sole or primary author, 6 contact hours; andb. If the licensee was a co-author or secondary author, 3 contact hours; and(2) For a non-peer reviewed article:a. If the licensee was the sole or primary author, 4 contact hours; andb. If the licensee was a co-author or secondary author, 2 contact hours.(c) Documentation of a licensee's publication of an article in a professional journal shall be: (1) A copy of: a. The publication or its title page showing the licensee's authorship;b. The table of contents of the journal; andc. The publication date of the journal; or(2) If publication of the article is still in progress, the journal publisher's letter of acceptance of the article with a copy of the article.N.H. Admin.
