Section Per 1203.10 - Volunteer Activities

An employee who is late for work as a result of duties as a volunteer firefighter, licensed ambulance attendant, or licensed rescue squad attendant, shall be granted use of annual leave, accrued compensatory leave, or both to cover the period of lateness, provided:

(a) The duties are performed for a jurisdiction not more than 20 miles from the employee's usual duty station; and

(b) Performance of the duties is verified by the employer.
